The U.S. Department of Defense is allowing Michael Bay to film the new Transformers movie at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The filmmakers were also allowed to follow jets and fighter planes and film scenes on the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis. A large number of Marines will also be involved, playing the strike force battling the invading Transformers.
The filmakers were also granted first-time access to the Pyramids at Giza by the Egyptian government. They were even allowed to shoot scenes on the pyramids.
