Chris Hemsworth, who played George Kirk in JJ Abrams’ new Star Trek reboot, has reportedly been cast as Thor. He landed the role after reading for the part a second time. The 6′ 3″ Aussie actor will also play the lead in the upcoming Red Dawn remake. Marvel Pictures’ Thor will begin shooting next year for a release date in 2011.

Please let at least one superhero storyline, remain true to the original plot of the comics . I know they are trying to appeal to the new generation, but us old folks need a feeling of belonging too.
