The Los Angeles Times Hero Complex website recently published an article in which they spoke to Ron Howard about his upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series. He says that he has been re-listening to the audiobook editions of the epic story and he and King have been emailing back and forth on the subject.

As we reported in this article about Stephen King stories being made into movies, Howard plans to adapt The Dark Tower into a series of movies and a television series.

Universal and NBC haven’t given a greenlight to the project yet, but Howard and his team spent a year working on it before they even presented their plan to King.

Chris Hemsworth as Thor in Marvel’s new trailer.

Chris Hemsworth puts the hammer down as the God of Thunder in Marvel’s new Thor trailer. This is very similar to the longer clip that hit the web shortly after Comic Con last summer, but there are a few more frames featuring Thor throwing the hammer, the hammer returning to him, a battle with Loki, and Thor making the ground erupt and roll like a tidal wave.

Green Lantern Movie Clips Soon

Entertainment Tonight will be airing some footage of the new Green Lantern movie on Tuesday, November 16. But for those of us who can’t wait here’s a “pre-preview” of the what we’ll see when the movie is released in theaters.

The movie is based on the DC comic book character and will star Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard,  Mark Strong, and Tim Robbins.

The Green Lantern movie hits theaters on June 17, 2011.
