James Franco, (Harry Osborne in the Spiderman trilogy) has been cast as the lead in the new Rise of the Apes movie being directed by Rupert Wyatt.
Franco plays a scientist whose test subject, Caesar, starts to evolve rapidly. Franco’s character takes the ape home with him to protect him from the cruel doctors. Apparently all apes in the movie will be animated by WETA Digital.
Rise of the Apes opens June 24, 2011.

Variety reports that Chris Evans (Johnny Storm in the “Fantastic Four” movies) has accepted Marvel’s offer and will play Captain America in at least three movies. The first, of course, being “The First Avenger: Captain America”, and then later teaming up with Iron Man, Thor, and maybe The Hulk in “The Avengers”.
Hugo Weaving will play Red Skull, Captain America’s nemesis, and Joe Jackson who recently directed “The Wolfman” will be directing “The First Avenger: Captain America”.
