The writer and producer of the upcoming remake of The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Gary Ross, says the new version will not be “campy” and added that “we take it sort of seriously”. Ross says that the new film will explore the creatures origins and that they looked for “reasonable scientific underpinnings” for the creature’s existence.
In other classic monster movie news, Universal Pictures has pushed back the release of The Wolfman from April 3,2009 to Nov. 6, 2009. But you don’t have to wait to see the trailer for “The Wolfman”, you can watch it here – (leaked from Comic Con) .
